Have you ever had the frustration of feeling like God isn’t answering your prayers? I have tried from all different angles trying to understand the different ways God may be answering my prayers without me acknowledging it. I wonder are there signs that I’m just missing or maybe I’m just not taking the time to listen to him. Then I find myself asking what I have to do to get God’s answers to my prayers. Friday mornings I have been going through psalms with a friend and this morning I came across this verse. Psalms 4:1 “Answer me when I call to you, O my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; be merciful to me and hear my prayer.” I was so encouraged knowing I am not the only one who hasn’t figured out why I sometimes feel like God isn’t answering my prayers. I felt encouraged knowing that it’s okay to sometimes have to ask God to answer my prayers when I feel I haven’t gotten any answers. I automatically assume, “What am I doing wrong,” when I don’t hear God’s answer. God wants me to expect an answer, so when I don’t know his answers he wants me to bring it back to him and say, “Lord, answer my prayers!”  God is faithful, may I never doubt this!
