New Family Members

Covenant had around 30 transfers this year and we got four of them on our hall. It’s fun getting to see new faces around! I have to say, I am so impressed with how they’re able to handle everything. They seem very calm as they finish registration, get all their paperwork done, and begin forming [...]

Sophmore Community Project

Today I spent chipping paint and repainting an old house. It was our sophomore community project and we teamed up with the widow’s ministry to help fix up an elderly ladies house. Chattanooga has so many opportunities to help the community. The Widow’s Ministry is just one. This ministry invites groups of volunteers to come [...]

Intramural’s

Intramurals are a fun way for everyone to get to be involved with some good ole’ sports. Whether you’re an athlete or clearly are not, everyone comes together to play some casual, not too competitive games. Covenant has intramural flag football, indoor soccer, basketball and volleyball. Tonight was my halls first intramural flag football game [...]

Gooo Braves!

Goooo Braves!!!! Last weekend I went to my first professional baseball game. It was sooo much fun. A group of about fifty Covenant students went to Atlanta this weekend and met up with Covenant alumni. We shared some great barbecue and then attended the baseball game. It was fun just watching the Covenant alum enjoy [...]

Mountain Affair

Mountain Affair: An annual talent competition we hold here at Covenant that always leaves me in awe with the talent people have! Singers, dancers, songwriters, instrumentalists all come to show their talent. A night like this is of course a HUGE event. People were lined up at the doors of our chapel an hour before [...]

Life in the New Dorm

Okay, so tonight was the first time that I actually got to spend some extended time in the new building and I LOVE IT! I’ve mentioned before how each dorm and hall has it’s own personality, but now we have a whole new building without any definition.  I just can’t wait to see the building [...]

Back Again

My goodness friends, it has been way to long. I feel like I am watching life fly by and I just never seem to get enough time to turn around so I can watch it coming towards me. But, here I am writing once again, letting you guys in on the life of a Covenant [...]

Study Break

A drive-in movie, Cary Grant, and friends I enjoy…it can’t get better than that. Every semester each class puts on an event for the entire student body. The freshman class decided to create a “drive-in theatre”. Study break…anything to relieve the stress. Obviously I wasn’t the only one that needed a study break. Cars filled [...]

Equality Ride

Today the Equality Riders came to Covenant. This is a group of homosexual activist who are traveling through the United States and who in their own words stated that they are fighting for, “freedom for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people from religious and political oppression through the practice of relentless nonviolent resistance.”

Fiddler on the Roof

“Tradition…!!!!” The Fiddler on The Roof production opened this weekend and it was AMAZING! Over 100 individuals invested a lot of their time, beginning as early as last fall, to prepare for these 6 productions. Parents, friends, and prospective students who were here for Campus Preview Weekend filled the chapel seats. The lights dimmed [...]
